Ana sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all day and all night. Sometimes only I can tell what she's singing and other times it's perfectly clear. Did you know that the song never ends? She sings it in round form and just keeps singing it over and over and over. I think last week on the way to school we sang it 20 times :). It is really really cute to hear so I thought I should share. If I get a better version I'll share that, too.

We had an amazing day today. The sun was shining and about 70 degrees. I decide to take the kiddos to the park and let them enjoy the day.

We did come home and finished out the day in the front yard.

When daddy is away

Do you ever just want to throw your hands in the air and walk away?
When I'm out of town and I call home at the end of my day I'm usually
told, "oh we had a wonderful evening. Our fantastic, well behaved children
ate all their vegetables and all of their dinner. Later, we had tea and crumpets and a long discussion on the meaning of life. Then, the little angels quietly
bathed themselves, put on their pajamas and went straight to bed at
7:30." Or something like that. When Robert calls home the
conversation is more of a, "I'm sorry Robert I can't hear you over the
chainsaw noise. Aiden is currently trying to saw his sister in half.
I know it's midnight, but someone gave them speed for dinner and
they've been non-stop since 5:30 this morning."

So.... I'm not sure what happens or why it happens, but our children
are CRAZY when Robert is out of town. When he's in town I usually
don't have any trouble getting them ready in the morning and off to
school. When I do have trouble, I send them to him and he helps, but
it's NEVER as bad as when he's away.

Let me tell you a few stories.

Wednesday morning Aiden woke up at 5:00am and asked if a friend could
come over tonight. To which I said, it's 5:00am I don't know that
you'll be alive tonight if you don't let me sleep another hour. So,
he turned over and went back to sleep. Score! 6:30 he wakes up and
immediately demands oatmeal. We discuss the correct way to ask for
things and have a pleasant time of getting ready. He gets dressed and
sits down to watch a little Oswald before school. Princess wakes up
at 7:00 all smiles and butterflies. Then, I ask her what she would
like for breakfast. I am told NO. Hummmm ok. I then go to get her
clothes, brush, diaper, wipes, all the items to get her ready for
school. I then chase her around the house brushing her hair as we run
around corners and through rooms (we're practicing for the mother
daughter field day events). I get her hair brushed and somehow into a
ponytail. Then, it's time for diaper and clothes changing. This is
not a running event, although she thinks it should be; however, there
is a lot of tripping and falling when we practice. So, I have to hold
her down with my left elbow as I try to put a diaper on a rolling,
screaming, crying, yelling, biting child. (this should also be in the
mother daughter field day). I manage to get a diaper and her pants on
and then she's making throw up/gagging sounds because she's been
screaming and crying so much I let her go. She runs to Nana's room
and climbs in bed. I try to finish getting her ready and to no avail
end up gathering all her clothing, shoes and jacket. I was able to
get Aiden and our things into the car and then I went back into the
house, picked her up crying/screaming/biting my arm and carried her to
the car and fought to get her buckled in her carseat. We then drive
to school with Aiden yelling that he wants to be dropped off first and
Ana crying/screaming because she's so mad that I've put her little
princess self into a peasants carseat. (or whatever she was too mad
about). It's 30 degrees outside and I carry her in diaper and pants
only to school. Her teacher had a surprised look on her face gave a
little giggle and then said, "I'm only laughing because I've been
there. You're not alone and you did a great thing to just bring her
in instead of fighting her all morning." She's such a good teacher,
God bless her because she helped me finish dressing Ana and then asked
Ana to give me a kiss. So sweet. CRAZINESS!!

Wednesday night: I signed up for a parenting class at Aiden's school
and had been debating all afternoon if I should go or if I should just
stay home and work on being a better parent. After picking up the
kids, picking up dinner and then spending 2 hours at home with them I
decided that the class was the way to go. They have childcare
available, so the plan was to take both kids. Aiden definitely wanted
to go. When I asked Ana she said, "no, I stay with nana." I then
started to get her into pajamas, she wanted to take a bath, so I
started bath water and then planned on leaving her and having Nana
take over. Hard thing was every time I'd leave the bathroom she would
start crying. Now that she was in the bathtub and wet I was not going
to take her with me, so she had to stay. I tried to leave several
times, but just felt too guilty. Nana would have had trouble getting
her out of the bath and dressed so I wrestled with her until she was
ready for bed. Then, running out the door with Aiden I put him and my
purse in the car and realized I had forgotten my phone. I ran in and
grabbed it. I come back out to the garage to find Robert's son
standing as if he were peeing in my garage. No, not out to the
driveway, actually in my garage. HE PEED IN MY GARAGE!!!! WTH! All
I could think was why why why do things like this only happen to me.
He then started giggling. I told him I didn't care if he would have
peed out in the driveway, but not ever ever again in my garage. He
continued to giggle. Goodness.

So, this morning (Thursday) was somewhat of a better morning. Aiden
helped me get things together and Ana went to school without shoes and
socks on, but at least she was dressed. Hopefully, this evening will
be carefree and after our tea and crumpets our little angels and I
will read a book, say our prayers and then quietly go to bed. (Hey, I
can only hope right!?!)

Family Dinner

We had a lovely family dinner at Chigs which is a bar/restaurant literally a block from our house. The kiddos had a good time and it was a good ending to a great weekend. Here are some photos!

Ana's follow up Neuro appt

Ana had her follow up appt with her neurologist this afternoon. She has not had another seizure since September. She was sick around Christmas and we immediately gave her Advil before he could even get a fever. The neurologist said she still has a 50% chance to have another seizure between now and the time she's 6 years old. We'll keep our fingers crossed and be prepared if another one does happen. Developmentally, it hasn't slowed her down at all. She needs to go back once a year for another 2 years, just to check on her development.

Busy Week

I visited my team in Chicago this week and had a very busy week. Very little excitement happened on the work front. On the home front last week, it was pretty much the same. I was definitely ready to come home. It's nice to travel but I enjoy being at home. Unfortunately, my travel is not finished for the month of January I have two more trips.

I believe we got Ana the ok to enroll in LCCS next fall, which is exciting! Aiden has really done well at LCCS and I can't wait to see how Ana does. Plus that means I can drop off and pick up at one location rather than 2. They are letting her in but will have to keep her back either in 3 yr old or 4 yr old class for one extra year, and we are fine with that.

The house still hasnt sold nor has been seen by everyone. I know we just have to be patient and our new house is out there but it is frustrating when you want to move. Meanwhile, Sarah is doing an outstanding job cleaning and "slimming" our house so we have little to move and little clutter. I think mom is just as excited, although she is a little more serene about it. Truth be told, I am definitely pumped to have a bigger house and make my wifey happy.

My job is going well right now...I am working with a new director who is finding his groove and he is actually using my knowledge and allowing me to help him while he transition into this new role. Sarah's job is going well, she has some trips planned in Feb so she'll be gone for a bit.

All is well in the Rosales household for now...stay tuned.

Love technology...

It's no secret that I have a love relationship with technology. I have this need to want the latest gadgets and fun tech toys. In a lot of ways though it helps me keep connected to our household when Sarah or I are away. For instance, I can monitor the house from my phone, change the temp in the house, activate the alarm even turn off and on the lights.
I can operate TVs from the phones, play videos and music wireless from the computer to TVs and speakers.
Really cool stuff but I would say my fav thing is seeing my kiddos while I'm out of town.
Today I had tea with Ana and watch them play in the playroom. So I will definitely continue being a techno geek because it keeps me connected to my family!!!

Austin Weekend Trip

This weekend we took a trip to Austin/San Antonio to wish our friend, Melissa Day and her new husband Jonathan well during their wedding weekend. We decided to make a weekend out of it since we havent had a Sarah and I weekend in a while so it was nice. Traffic was easy and the wedding was beautiful. What was really great, was we had an opportunity to hang out with friends without our wonderful children. It was nice to do that but by Sunday, i was ready to be with my kiddos. This next month is going to be very long and I will be traveling most of the month. I'll continue to write my posts and keep everyone updated on what's going on with the Rosales gang!

My Little Man

First of all let me say, Aiden amazes me every day with his energy, personality, ability to make me smile, and his brilliance. There are a few times over the past few weeks, maybe even months that I have realized my little boy is growing really, really fast. He is beginning to really comprehend and understand his world and that to me is AWESOME. I am amazed that he is mimicking our mannerisms and even key phrases we say. For Instance, when he is explaining something, he uses his right hand and gestures a chopping motion, similar to when Sarah or I. He also has begun to say "actually, dada...". Although it may not seem like intelligence this next one is funny...Sarah and I have both heard him get upset at the seat belt or his hoodie when they dont cooperate with him. He will actually get upset and say, come on seat belt or get frustrated with his hoodie...lol its probably not nice to laugh but we do it in secret where he cant see us!

Love this little man and can't wait to see what more antics he comes up with. He is my light and I love him more that I can ever express.

I'm not a huge fan of New Years resolutions because I have a hard time sticking to them :). I think that one of them will definitely be to blog more. I realized after an anonymous response to one of our posts that my rants are history. They will be viewed by my children one day and that in itself is worth continuing this blog and posting more frequently. I want them to share in our lives as they grow and see their parents perspective on their lives. I want them to read about our experiences and know where they came from.

Plus I think its a healthy way to vent and process our own thoughts. Therefore, stay tuned and watch our blog in 2012!

Freddie day?!?!?!

I'm a little behind on keeping up with Freddie. She was in the shower one day this week and then the next day moved to the shelf in the kitchenette and has been there for 2-3 days. She likes that spot! Tonight she moved to the playroom to keep a closer eye on a little boy we all know and love. I think
Freddie is getting worn out from her magic tricks each night. She said she's ready for Dec 26th so that she can take a little rest!

Aiden's Christmas Party was yesterday morning. They decorated gingerbread houses and then had a few snacks. Luckily, the gingerbread houses were Pre-built, so they didn't fall down like they always do at our house. Aiden had so much fun decorating and eating the decorations.

We woke up this morning to a snowball/marshmallow fight in our kitchen! It looks like Freddie challenged Mr Moose and Christmas Monkey to a snowball fight and Monkey definitely lost. By the time the kids left for school the kiddos had eaten all of the snowballs. Every time I would walk by the scene there were less and less snowballs. I wonder what Freddie will do tonight?!?!

It's hard to believe that Freddie has already lived with us for a whole week. Wow! Last night Ana touched Freddie. As you may know, or not know, if an elf is touched they lose their magical powers and aren't able to go back to see Santa. Daddy moved the elf to the top of the tv and both kids are worried that Freddie has lost her powers. We will see tonight if she moves to a different spot. If she moves, perhaps her powers came back, but if she doesn't I'm sure we'll have at least one sad kiddo. Ana still doesn't quite get it

I'm pretty sure it's day 4. Freddie had plenty of time to find a new spot this morning. Both kids spent the night somewhere other than home last night and didn't get home until after 9:00am. Sometimes Freddie's presence helps our children stay on the good list and at other times it's just too hard to be 5 years old.

The house lights are up, the house is decorated inside, now just to start wrapping presents. Maybe tomorrow.

Santa visited Ana's school today! She wanted to see him, but didn't want to be anywhere close to him. I asked if she wanted to talk to him, "no", shake his hand, "no", take a picture, "no", sit on his lap, "NO". So, she hung on to mommy while we sat next to Santa and took a picture. At least Santa smiled!

Santa sent us an elf. Her name is Freddie, short for Fredericka (because he has a skirt and we didn't know that before she moved to her next spot). The kiddos got the story last night and Aiden watches her like a hawk. He's made a few wrong choices in front of her and when we point it out he just stares at her. Ana- it doesn't effect her at all, she just wants to climb up on something and say, "HI, Santa!!!" it's cute!

Aiden slept in his bed last night without a fight, because Freddie would be reporting back to Santa that he was being a good big boy!

We'll share Freddie's adventures with you over the next couple of weeks!

Aiden watching Netflix on his iTouch. Wish we had iTouch, Netflix and Mifi when we took road trips as kids. We have had no electronic times, too. We've played ISpy, rubber duckie, the quiet game and let's see who can fall asleep the fastest. This trip has been much better than last Christmas were Ana screamed and yelled for 3 hours at a time. This trip she'll get a little fussy but pretty much can be entertained or redirected.

I know I don't blog nearly enough. Life is always so crazy for everyone and that's my excuse, too.

Sickly Aiden

Eventually, I will write about our horror of last Thursday, September
15th with Ana and the events that followed but honestly I'm still
processing most of it.

Monday, Aiden woke up, ate oatmeal, and got dressed, just like every
other school day. Robert and I took Aiden to school, listing off all
the good things he should do today and the greatest he should have.
Then, we took Ana to the doctor for her follow up. Got back to the
house just in time to get another call, "this is LCCS, we have Aiden
in the office and he's complaining that his stomach hurts." To which I
though oh poor baby, he probably wishes he would have gotten a 10th of
the attention his sister has had in the past 4 days. But then the
nurse said, "and he has a 100.4 degree temperature." Oh! No faking
going on, now I feel really bad :)

I then called the doctor again, who promptly asked me if Ana was ok.
I said "she's bouncing around the house, but Aiden has a fever, his
stomach hurts and he says his throat hurts. So, I'm kinda worried
about strep since it's been bouncing around school and he gets it if
the wind blows south." The doctor's office already thinks I'm a
nutcase so I'm sure my long explanations for everything just provide
more evidence to their case.

At the doctor's office he sat in my lap and slept. So sweet. The
doctor did a strep test, which was positive. Prescribed antibiotics
and we were off to the pharmacy. I kept asking him, "Do you want ice
cream?" "No", "Do you want a root beer float?" "No", "Are you hungry?"
"NO".

Once we were home he slept for 6 hours during the day in his room.
I've never seen him so sickly. Usually you can't even tell he's sick,
he's still bouncing around the house like a monkey on crack. At one
point Ana walked in the room with me and he turned over and said in a
little voice "I just want to be left alone" but he was feeling better
when I left. He wouldn't take his advil. So I had to drag Daddy in
because he hadn't had any in 8 hrs and his fever was 103.2, we had to
hold him down and then when he finally took it he said, "oh, that's
yummy" crazy!

Hopefully, our household will be back to normal soon, well, as normal
as possible. It's always pretty crazy at our house!!

Fire safety

I let the kids pick out one book each and I read to them before bedtime. Tonight they chose "Transformers: meet the decepticons" and "Clifford the fire dog". After reading Clifford there is an extra page that goes over fire safety. Here's how our conversation went (Ana just stared at Aiden and I while we rambled on)

Me: What do we do if our clothes catch fire?

MM: STOP, DROP & ROLL, like this.
(He then jumps out of bed and goes through the motions and dies at the end, tongue out and all. Ana continues to stare. I then get him back in bed wondering why I chose to discuss this at bed-time when obviously it is an active discussion.)

Me: ok, good job, surely with all your speed in stopping and dropping and rolling you would get the fire out and there would not be a need to play dead.

MM: like this (proceeds to shake and play dead again) (to which I'm thinking where does he get this stuff)

Me: ok, ok, now if there was a fire in the house how could we get out?

MM: I would grab my toys and my Romo and then my sister and my Nana and I would do this. (proceeds to jump out of bed, run around in circles, stop, drop, roll)

Me: hum, I think we missed the question, let's ask a different way... (big eyes and big sigh)

I'm glad your teachers have taught you stop, drop and roll and you have obviously practiced that A LOT! So, we won't practice that anymore tonight.

Now, if there was a fire where would we go to get out?

MM: tells me how he would grab Romo and his toys and...

Me: Ok, ok, #1 we don't grab toys. If Romo is near by I'm fine with you saying come on Romo, but how would you get out of the house? Through the front door, back door, garage door? Do you understand that we have 3 doors to get out of?

MM: no toys?!?!

Me: we can always buy more toys, it's us that we need to save from fire.

MM: we can get more TOYS!!!

Me: I've completely lost you...

Ok, what's another way we could get out of the house?

MM: blank stare (I'm guessing he's thinking about the 10,000 toys he'd buy)

Me: through the window?

MM: oh yah!!!

Me: but we don't need to be climbing out the windows any other time.

Clifford says we should never play with matches or the stove either.

MM: what are matches?

Me: we'll just skip over that question and not give you any new ideas.

Where should we go after we get out of the house?

MM: Della's house, so we can play with her bike and toys!!

Me: ok, I guess I made some sort of progress tonight we'll just stop there. (big smile, big kisses)

I need to put up the videos I made of prayer time after this discussion. It was about 15 mintues of rambling about fire, toys, daddy, the dogs, his birthday. Just craziness!!

Meet Goose

Goose is Aiden's class mascot! Aiden and his classmates named him, yes, they named a duck Goose. Too cute.

Goose goes home with each student about once every 2 weeks. He comes with a book to read at bedtime and a journal to write an entry of what he did with you that evening.

Aiden loved having Goose with us for the night. We even took him to dinner! Now they're watching a movie with Romo.

PS: Aiden loves his school so much, it makes me so happy that he's happy going to school!

Pre K

Aiden started Pre K last week. He's been in Pre K the last 2 years and had some wonderful teachers. We were really sad to leave our old school, but the drive was killing us.

He had meet the teacher night the Thursday before school started and met his teachers Mrs. Bain and Mrs. Martin. Monday morning daddy, Ana and I walked him into school. He put up his book bag and stood with his friends to say the Pledge of Allegiance. He waves us goodbye and acted like he'd been there all year.

That afternoon I picked him up and asked if he liked this school better than his summer daycare and he said he loved it! Woo Hoo!!

Saturday, he's eating his breakfast and asks me if he can be picked up before aftercare and I said it's not a school day and we had a meltdown on our hands. Crying, crying, crying... Why can't I go to school?!?!?! I guess that's a good thing! I explained that I'm so happy that he likes school but his teachers need a break!!

The difference between boys an girls

Here is today's difference between boys and girls according to the Rosales household.

I arrive at the kid's school to pick them up and Ana has had a great day! Aiden has not had the best day, but also not the worst day. He was able to keep his hands to himself (this is the usual problem he gets in trouble for at school.) However, he talked about his Wiener all day. Mommy was not a happy camper. First of all, when did it change to wiener? He's called it a peenie, now over the weekend it's a wiener? He was around a lot of different people this weekend, so I'm not sure where that came from. We had a long discussion about appropriate discussion in school vs in the bathroom. I even said, "you only talk about your peenie to daddy, doctors and mommy.". Really I don't want to hear about his wiener, but I would hate for him to have a problem and think, Hum... I can only talk to daddy and the doctor about this.

On the other hand, Ana on the other hand spent the whole day talking about Kikos. Kikos is Spanish slang for kiss, but that's the word that Ana uses for COOKIES!! (she takes after her momma!). Aiden went to VBS tonight and Ana and I went to the mall. We pulled into the parking lot and she screamed KIKOS!!! While we walked though the mall, Kikos, Kikos, Kikos... We get to the cookie store and KIKOS!!! As she walks around the mall, with her cookie in hand, Kikos, Kikos! She hands me her Kiko and then walks behind saying Kiko about every other step. Then, I would say Kiko and she would repeat it. It was a fun game.

So, according to the Rosales family the difference between boys and girls, at least for today, is cookies vs wieners.

I feel like such a failure when it comes to blogging. There's just
not enough time in a day and I've already thought I need to figure out
how to only sleep 2 hours a night and still be chipper and nice
through the next day. Right now I may get most things done, but I can
guarantee that I'm the biggest "b" around when I'm not getting at
least 6 hrs of sleep.

Anyway, this isn't about me, it's about Ana's 18 month appointment!
Which was only almost 6 weeks ago, but I just came across the paper on
my desk, so I thought I would share.

Her measurements for her 18 month appointment were:

Wt - 27lbs 2oz - 90th percentile
Ht - 33in - 90th percentile
Head - 47.25 (probably cm, bc I doubt her head is bigger around than
she is tall, but the nurse didn't provide the units, big deal in
research, but I guess just assumed in pediatrics). 75th percentile.

So, overall, she's a tall girl!! Maybe she'll be as tall as her
godmother, she's 6'2", lol.

Since this visit.... That's a whole other story! I'll share that tomorrow :)

We spent New Year's Eve together with family at my sister's house. Everyone played pool, ate and was merry :)

Right before midnight Aiden and I watched a movie and laid on the couch together. We got up had some champagne, kissed and went to bed :)! What a great way to bring in the new year!

We are spending the 1st day of the new year in the car headed back home. Nana misses us and Aiden misses Romo.

Robert, Zac, Aiden and I went into DC Thursday. Ana stayed with my sister at home and had tons of fun there. Here's a pic of Aiden in front of the White House. Not sure if the Obama's were home or not.

Aiden had so much fun at the natural history museum. Then we went to the American history museum. He wanted so badly to see Max and Ruby's slippers. Really I have no idea why he says Max and Ruby's slippers when I clearly said Ruby slippers :). But I just told him that Max and Ruby (who are a cartoon) were hiding behind the scarecrow. He liked seeing Kermit and the Star Spangled Banner.

Then, he wanted to sit down. We sat down and he passed out. Overload of fun today.

Road trip to Virginia

30 minutes into the drive and Aiden has asked me to change his DVD 3 times already. Then, just a few minutes ago he asked, "are we there yet?". I said, "don't start".

2 minutes later I looked back to find the beautiful angel like face fast asleep :). Here's hoping for a few quiet minutes.

And yes he's in a Woody (from toy story) costume :) he got it from Santa and had to wear it in the car. In fact I think his pjs are on under it.

Yes, although we were sure that he would pass right by our house this year Santa did stop by this morning. Aiden and Ana both got bikes from Santa! Ana also got lots of bows and dress up jewelry in her stocking and a baby doll stroller! Aiden got a Perry the platypus watch and cars in his stocking and a chest of Toy Story dress up :).

Ana's words

Ana had her 15 month pediatric appointment on Friday. The nurse asked 10 million questions and one of them was "how many words does she say?" I counted them up quickly in my head and said 10-12. She looked at me a little funny. I thought OMG she's not saying enough so while waiting on the doctor I counted them all out and came up with 12.

The doctor came in and asked about 5 million questions and asked the same question again. I said, "I sat here while we've been waiting and come up with 12 words." Again the doctor looked at me like I had 3 heads. I just stared back with a smile :) panicking in my head, OMG we've got to start reading more books and working with flash cards, OMG!!!!

The pediatrician then said, "12?" I started listing them out and actually came up with 14 the next time. Still panic, panic, panic!!!

The pediatrician then said, "wow by the time kids are 18 months, they should be saying 6 words." I just stared back again processing this. Then thought, OH, panic relieved!

So I thought I'd share some of ana's words with you.

Dada - of course was her 1st word, boo
Mama - not only for mama, but also milk or any drink
Nana
Ana
Ada - what she calls Aiden sometimes (which is also what Ashleigh called Aiden for a long time so I thought that was funny)
Bubba - what she calls Aiden most of the time
Wawa - dog (I don't really know why both of my children called dogs this, something to do with the way they sound I guess)
Awua - water (Spanish is agua)

Look - though it sounds like ook
Book - still ook
Sanda - Santa
Ba - ball or balloon

Then after I got home she started saying other words. When she and Nana walk outside they have to go down 3 stairs and Nana always counts them. Nana says uno, Ana said dos, Nana says tres.

Even with all these words the word she says the most is "Ahhhhh" or "Ahh" she just grunts or yells if she doesn't like something or if she wants something. I usually say, "use your words" :) she just grunts back more!

It's so much fun to watch them learn new things.

She point at Santa the other day and said dada. I said no Santa. Ana - Dada, me- Sannn ta, Ana- daaaa da. Lol, she finally got it after a few tries. But she's just as stubborn as I am :)

Conversations with Aiden about underwear

I wrote the other day about conversations with Aiden about underwear.

Aiden had a conversation with Gran this morning about underwear and it went a little like this: BTW, today was pj day at school...

Gran: Aiden, you want to wear these pj's?

MM: No these (the ones he slept in last night).

G: Ok you have to wear underwear with them.

MM: No I don't wear underwear with pj's.

G: Yes when you are wearing them to school you do.

MM: I will put them in my bag.

G: No you will put them on your butt.

MM: In an exasperated tone - fine.

Hilarious, Gran sent that to me this morning and it made my day!!

Kids are so smart

This morning I taught the 2-4 yr old Sunday school. The lesson was on blessings.

I started by asking the class if anyone knew what a blessing was. They all looked at me with blank stares. So I then said that it's kinda like a prayer but it's directed at a person or can also be directed to an object. Still blank stares.

I then asked them to think of a way that they send blessings to people everyday... Blank stares... I said, "well, what do you say when someone sneezes?". Aiden yells out, "GET A TISSUE!!". Then he put the inside of his elbow up to his nose and said, "then you do this!". All I could do is laugh. We talk a little second longer about blessing and then moved on to coloring :)

Aiden and Rose

Well, we seem to have a young love connection... Rose is at our house probably every other weekend. She and Aiden were in the same class together in preschool up to a couple of weeks ago and then they'd see each other at church on Sunday. So they were together 6 out of 7 days a week. Now that Rose is in a different class they have seemed to grab on to one another more on Sundays.

This Sunday before Sunday school and after Sunday school was asking if he could go sit with Rosie, I finally gave in. They disappeared together to the fellowship hall to eat cupcakes. When church was over an I went to find them I was told that Rosie would be coming to our house today by Aiden. I then said, "um well Rosie is actually going home today so that she can help decorate the house for Christmas." I was then told by Rose, "no I'm not going home, I'm going to Aiden's house." So I just walked away.

Then Rose's daddy came up to me and said that Rose said she's going to Aiden Zalas's house because she LOVES him and wants to give him kisses.

I eventually made my way back to the fellowship hall to gather Aiden and they were walking around hand in hand and not taking no for an answer.

Rosie's mom then said that Aiden could go to their house for a couple of hours and we asked the couple if that would be ok and they agreed.

Then, we went to go get Aiden's car seat. They followed me (still hand in hand) and while I was getting the seat I saw Aiden pick a flower for Rose and hand it to her. I teared up. They are too cute together.

Aiden Zalas and Rosie Rose - future trouble makers :). I think we'll someday be looking for them and we'll just have to search for one and we'll find the other one. Too cute!

Stories from the past 2 days

We took the Camp Rosales stuff back
to storage about a month ago and I found some of my old dolls. Ana loves carrying around baby dolls so I brought them home to her.

Monday night when I got home from work I heard that Ana had given her baby doll a bath. Oh how fun, I thought... Nana looked at me funny and then said in the toilet. So, my doll that was probably at least 50 yrs old took a bath in the toilet. Then Nana tried to grab it from her and Ana wouldn't let go of it and had to have a towel to dry off her baby. Pretty cute!

On Sunday we asked Aiden to
Get dressed for church. He went in his room put on running pants and the biggest t-shirt he had and came back out. I didn't really like what he was wearing but since he had dressed himself I wasn't going to have him change. Well, during church I take him to the bathroom and he pulls down his pants and he has no undies on... 1st off he already doesn't sleep in undies (just pjs with no undies). So we had a discussion about the fact that it's ok not to wear undies but if there's any place we should wear undies it's to church.

This week Aiden is off school for Thanksgiving and Robert and I are still working, so Aiden has been spending time with various family members during the day. Monday he stayed with Sharon and Emillio - no problems, just 2 crazy boys running around the house. Yesterday he stayed at Picho's house (tio Javier's house with his three older kids). Around 9:30 I got a call from tio Javier saying, "Sarah, did you know your son's not wearing any underwear?". The message really made my day. I really as a parent don't know whether to have a conversation about how we need to wear underwear or just let him do what he wants... Any thoughts?
