Day with "the Monk"
We spent the day together yesterday!! It was a great day! I honestly don't know how Nana does it everyday. I guess you get used to it after a while! He just constantly goes 90 to nothing, moving, shaking, hitting, throwing, hugging, kissing, moving... you get the idea.
Dinners out are almost impossible at this age. He is good for a while, until he gets board and then he starts throwing things and yelling, etc. It is hard to keep his busy mind occupied at a restaurant. Last night we had a really good waitress, and the restaurant was pretty empty, too! That way I didn't feel as bad when he started making a lot of noise!
He didn't want to go to sleep last night. We had a really busy day and you would think that we would have worn him out, but evidentially we didn't do enough.
I think that we are going to ask Gran to bring over Waldo again. Waldo is mom's gargoyle. When we first moved into our house we brought him in to ward off any bad spirits. Just in case something is waking him up, we might as well bring him over again!!
Especially because Aiden then woke up at 4:00am, screaming and yelling bloody murder. I went in to get him at 4:30am, because he still hadn't stopped. He threw his bottle at me when I walked into the room. Then I got him out of the bed, still crying and he walked to the door and then walked back to his bed. Like he had to save something. I handed him the blanket, he threw it down. I handed him the Cat in the Hat, again, threw it down. Glow worm, other blanket, nothing (he is still screaming, at this point I am on the verge of tears.) I try putting him in his bed. Bad mistake, louder screaming and yelling. I take him back out. He reaches threw the crib and grabs...his paci. Oops, Bad Mommy Eyes didn't see that, or Bad Mommy Sleepy Brain didn't think of that. Then I put him in our bed. He was quiet, but he tossed and turned until 5:15. At 5:30 Robert got up to go to the airport. I went back to bed at about 6:15, the alarm went off at 6:30 and I stayed in bed, wishing to get a little sleep until 7:15.
Tonight is going to be a great night!!! Aiden will sleep through the entire night. Wishful thinking, but they say it works!!
