Ana's 2 month appointment

I know, 2 months, already, wow!

This morning we went to see Dr. P and Ana weighed 11lbs 14 oz and is now 23 and 3/4 inches tall (or long, since she really doesn't stand yet, hehe) Her weight is in the 75% and her height is in the 85%. Maybe she does have a hope of being as tall as her Godmother Lisa, HAHA!

She had 3 vaccinations (1 by mouth and 2 shots in her little leg). Her face turned sooooo red after the shots and it seemed like she didn't breath for almost 2 minutes and then she let out this horrific scream. Poor baby girl. I don't know why (maybe its because I'm a bad mommy) but I just laughed. Mainly, because she took in this HUGE breath to scream as loud as she could.

I discussed Ana's congestion with Dr. P - keep doing what we are doing on that front (nasal saline, humidifier and suction). She's been congested since she was a week old, it does get slightly better sometimes. I don't have to wake up and put my hand under her nose at night to make sure she's still breathing, I can hear her from across the room. I'll probably freak out when I can't hear her if her nose ever does clear up.

Then we discussed that every night from the time I get home until she falls asleep about (6-10) she's screaming at me. I think it's a discipline problem :), Don't yell at me! Nana is really concerned that she has reflux or something like that. Dr. P said that it is the "witching hours"; really that most babies have fussiness at night before their bedtime. If there was more spitting up then she might have reflux, but really she doesn't spit up that much. We give her a bath every night which she loves and it really helps her fussiness! Then I'm worried that it might be harsh on her skin, so Dr. P recommended Cetaphil or Cerva lotion (which we already use, YAY)

I asked her about Manzanilla (Chamomile Tea) and Dr. P said that 1 or 2 ounces a day won't harm her, but she really thinks that it won't help much. It's just something that should resolve by 4-6 months.

Other than that, everything was great!
