29 Weeks

Your baby is growing rapidly now. This week he weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester.

From Sarah:

I must have jumped ahead in my dreams or something, because I swear I was at 31 weeks this week, hum.... Not sure how I skipped 2 weeks. So, I saw Dr. S on Friday, listened to Ana's heartbeat and did some belly measurements. (All good) Then, we discussed my ER trip. Dr. S also thinks it sounds like gall stones, so he ordered a gall bladder ultrasound. I also got to drink the lovely glucose test stuff and have a blood draw (we should have the results of that soon) Then, he said, "OK, see you in 2 weeks." What? We are already at seeing Dr. S every 2 weeks, this is going way too fast.

Dr. S put me on a low fat diet until we find out what's going on with my gall bladder. Lunch is a lot harder when you have to think about what you are eating. Since I work at a doctor's office we get lunch provided 3 out of the 5 days, but it's always pizza, fajitas, pasta, fat, fat, fat, so I have turkey sandwich stuff to eat while everyone else eats the other stuff.

I had my gall bladder ultrasound this morning and should hear back from the doctor today or tomorrow about the results.

I have to say that other then last Tuesday, everything is going great. No complaints here.
