St. Patrick's Day

I'm part Irish, not quite sure how much for my mixed heritage is Irish but I think like 40% or 50%, who really knows! Robert of course is only Irish on March 17th.

St. Patrick's Day always brings up childhood memories of something green. Every St. Patrick's Day I remember the day that my dad made Green Chicken and Dumplings. You would think they would still taste the same and be fine, but something about the green dye messed them up. I just have a little laugh every St Patrick's Day remembering the Green Chicken and Dumplings.

I was trying to figure out what to cook for dinner tonight. Not really sure what I will make, but not chicken and dumplings. :) They take too long to cook. We should eat something green, maybe a salad or something.

Just had to share the Green Chicken and Dumplings, because I think about them every year!! Thanks Dad!! Better then "Dog Food" I guess! (Dog Food was this concoction he made with ground beef, beans and taco seasoning, or something like that. I don't like beans, so the first time he made it I said it looked like Dog Food. Since, that is what it is called, every time he makes it!)

We ended up having Pasta leftovers from lunch at the office and salad. So, we had our green lettuce for dinner!!

Corn Beef, cabbage and boiled potatoes - that is the only thing I can remember being cooked on GREEN Day. So what did you end up having? I had to work the Soup Kitchen yesterday to get my fix of CB and cabbage because a certain husband is on the gag side with you!!! Hope you are feeling better soon. Miss you and love you. Hugs and kisses.
