Week 17

Today our baby is a turnip...This is the email that I got from Baby Center on Tuesday.

"Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop."

I am still having nausea, the meds work most of the time, but not always. One of my research monitors is letting me used her Relief Band, it's kinda weird, but it helps the stomach cramps. It is about the size of a watch and does electronic stimulation to the median nerve on the left side of your left wrist. That is supossed to be the nerve that, when stimulated, can help stop nausea. It works ok, but I get easily distracted by the electrical currant going through my hand. Oh well! Other then that, I am feeling a little more kicking/movement and everything else is good! If the nausea is the worst that happens, I am greatful for that!

The emails switch back and forth each week from he to she...we will hopefully, with the baby's participation, find out on the 24th if the baby's a boy or girl...Hopeing for healthy and secretly hoping for girl, but will take whatever we get!!
